Evan Ritchie is a performer and educator. As a graduate of York University’s Music program Evan specialized in jazz performance, composition and ethnomusicology.

Evan has taught drum set and percussion for 20 years. He has presented seminars on acoustic and digital performance at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the NAMM Show, KOSA’s International Drum Festival and at UDC (The Ultimate Drum Camp). In addition, Evan produced the “Modern Drummer Digital Archive”, a searchable index of Modern Drummer’s magazine dating back to 1977.

Evan’s performance credits include: “Honest Ed: The Bargain Musical” (1998), “The Drowsy Chaperone” (1998 – 2001), “Dance of the Dead” (2002), “An Awkward Evening” (2002) and “Joe White and the Seven Divorcees” (2010). In addition, Evan has appeared with the Toronto Tabla Ensemble throughout the years 2003 – 2011.
